1. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or registering for our classes and services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Offered

The Rooted Human offers breathwork classes, body-based practices, and related wellness services. Our services include:

• In-person group classes
• Virtual (online) classes via Zoom
• Outdoor sessions
• Private sessions (when available)

Services are subject to availability and may change without notice.

3. Registration and Payment

Class Registration: To attend a class, you must register through our website. Registration is confirmed upon completion of payment (for paid classes) or submission of the registration form (for free classes).

Payment: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method.

Pricing: Prices are listed on our website and are subject to change. The price at the time of your registration is the price you will pay.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations by You:

• Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the class start time are eligible for a full refund or credit toward a future class
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class start time are not eligible for a refund, but may be eligible for credit toward a future class at our discretion
• No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits

Cancellations by Us: If we need to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class.

5. Health and Safety

Please review our Health Disclaimer before participating in any of our services. You acknowledge that:

• You are participating voluntarily and at your own risk
• You will inform us of any health conditions that may affect your participation
• You will follow all safety instructions provided by our facilitators
• Our services are not a substitute for medical care

6. Code of Conduct

When participating in our classes and using our services, you agree to:

• Treat all participants and facilitators with respect
• Arrive on time for scheduled classes
• Maintain confidentiality about other participants
• Refrain from disruptive behavior
• Not attend if you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of contagious illness

We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates this code of conduct, without refund.

7. Virtual Class Terms

For virtual classes conducted via Zoom:

• You are responsible for having appropriate technology and internet connection
• Zoom links are for registered participants only and should not be shared
• Recording of classes is prohibited without written consent
• We are not responsible for technical issues on your end

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and materials provided in classes, is the property of The Rooted Human and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Rooted Human and its owner, Chelsey Lukemire, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services or website.

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Rooted Human, its owner, and any facilitators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Howard County, Maryland.
